Masterclass – Doing Ethnography in Southeast Asia

On the 14th of July, I organized a Masterclass for graduate students at Kyoto University’s (including the Graduate School of Asia and Africa Area Studies, ASAFAS) with our special guest at CSEAS, Professor Patricia Sloane-White.

In this event, we offer practical tips for conducting fieldwork in / researching on Southeast Asia, while also helping students to prepare for what’s ahead — applying for PhD / postdoctoral positions, applying for further funding, publishing, etc.

With this event, we hope to offer graduate students with practical, pastoral, and professional support in the early stages of their career.
